About Sandhill Farm
Sandhill Farm is a diversified vegetable farm owned and operated by Andie Donnan and Ashley Neises. Our one acre certified organic farm rests in Sinsinawa, WI as part of the Sinsinawa Mound Collaborative Farm. Our drive for being vegetable growers stems from the desire to provide our family, friends, and community with fresh produce. We believe our farm is a portrait of ourselves. We work mostly with hand tools and manual labor, do our best to minimize tillage, keep the earth covered with cover crops, and have berms and borders filled with flowers and grasses for native and beneficial insects. Our techniques and approach to producing food allows for a more intimate connection to the earth. While we do adhere to federal standards for organic certification we also exceed these and are exploring other standards and concepts around bio-nutrients, soil health, biodiversity, and regenerative agriculture. The two of us combined have a wealth of knowledge between the food industry, managing farmers' markets, and operating a vegetable farm. We have a love for growing and cooking food, and farming in a way that contributes to the earth. We focus on intensive bed production in order to reduce the amount of land needed to grow. Our produce is sold at local farmers' markets, through multiple CSA Programs, and to wholesale accounts such as the IA & WI LFPA Programs.
