About Riffle Farms Limited Liability Company
Nestled in the rolling hills of Terra Alta, West Virginia, Riffle Farms is home to a thriving herd of American bison. Founded with a passion for regenerative agriculture and a commitment to honoring Mother Nature, we raise our animals on open pasture, using holistic land management practices that restore soil health and biodiversity. As the only bison operation east of the Mississippi verified by the Savory Institute, Riffle Farms is proud to provide nutrient-dense, grass-fed, and field-harvested meats that reflect the integrity of our land and the respect we hold for our animals. Our farm isn’t just about raising bison—it’s about cultivating community, preserving heritage, and offering a deeper connection to the food on your plate. Visitors can experience the farm firsthand with camping opportunities, farm tours, and seasonal events, while our Norfolk, VA market & co-op brings together bison, beef, elk, pasture-raised chicken, pork, eggs, and regional farm goods under one roof. From pasture to plate, everything we do is rooted in sustainability, transparency, and taste.
