About Open Hearth Farm
Open Hearth Farm Welcome to Open Hearth Farm! We are a small family farm located in Waverly, VA passionate about changing the way people experience their food. Our mission is to always produce delicious foods that we feel great about feeding to ourselves, our families, and our local communities. Our produce is grown sustainably, always keeping the health of the soil in mind, and never with the use of herbicides. The jewel of our farm is our pasture raised poultry. We at Open Hearth Farm believe you should know exactly what our chickens are being fed and what quality of life they experience. The supplemental feed we give to our birds is high quality, and free from GMO's, but their favorite food is the fresh grass, bugs, and worms they always have access to. Our chickens lead happy lives always in accordance with what nature intended, doing chicken things like scratching and exercising outside from day one. We make sure to rotationally graze our pasture, which means our chickens have fresh grass every single day. The result of all this care is delicious, nutritious chicken you can feel good about feeding to yourself and to your family.
