Sky Meadows State Park is a working farm that offers visitors the opportunity to peacefully enjoy a historic Piedmont farm and natural area on the slopes of the Blue Ridge and Lost mountains while continuing the agricultural uses of a portion of its open land. The historic vegetable garden at Sky Meadows is cultivated and tended by volunteers. Proceeds from the garden benefit the Friends of Sky Meadows. Seasonal garden produce and other items available for sale April through October from our Friends of Sky Meadows Farmer's Market (dependent on volunteer availability) or inside the Visitor Center year-round. Farm fresh eggs from our flock of free-range Barred Plymouth Rock hens are for sale when the hens are producing. Local honey and honey products are available year-round.
