About Chestnut Ridge Farms
Chestnut Ridge Farms is located in beautiful Highland County, Virginia. It is owned and operated by the Montgomery family. John Montgomery grew up spending time on his grandfatheras farm in the mountains of southwest Virginia. Diane grew up in rural Florida. Our interest in farming is based in these early experiences. We believe in natural and sustainable small farming practices and in raising healthy food for our family and the local community. This is truly a family farm. All family members from the youngest to the oldest are involved in the process. Our main focus is pasture-raised Angus beef. Our cattle graze freely on 180 acres of farmland. They do not eat any wheat or soy. We supplement their diet only with vitamin-rich organic cattle feed, Thorvin Icelandic kelp, and Redmond salt to improve cattle health and beef flavor. Please visit www.countrysideorganics.com for more information on these supplements.
