About The Honey Bee Mine
The Honey Bee Mine farm runs bee yards in Lincoln, Rutherford, Wilson, and Williamson counties. We produce raw, unfiltered, local honey, and value-added products made with honey. Additionally, we sell nucleus colonies of bees (nucs) to help support other beekeepers. Along with honey production, our goal is to strengthen the honeybee populations by introducing stronger, more disease resistant bees to the environment, and ensuring Tennessee has a sustainable apiculture program. Our apiary has become a well-known local honey producer. We mentor local veterans, and other beekeepers in the art and science of beekeeping while maximizing the value of hive products. The Honey Bee Mine seeks to increase awareness of the role bees play in the production of food, and the environment by educating those we interact with on the importance of these pollinators. We donate a portion of our harvest to Second Harvest food bank of Middle Tennessee. We believe that income should not determine the availability of access to healthy foods. With subdivisions replacing usable farmland faster than farm yields can be increased, we have a responsibility to do what we can to help feed our neighbors. You can't eat concrete.
