Organic Produce. We started raising organic vegetables in our backyard to have fresh local produce available for our family. The nearest store was 70 miles away. Our children had several food allergies and organic was the only food source that would work. Our neighbors asked to buy our produce because it looked so good. We started taking our extra produce to the Pee Dee State Farmer's Market on Saturdays and selling it.
