About Harvest View Farm & Market
We use IPM (integrated pest management) a method of managing pests(insects, diseases or weeds)using a combination of biological, chemical and cultural methods. We have also found that by building healthy soils and maintaining a healthy soil structure we can reduce chemicals and commercial fertilizers by up to 60%. This is achieved by using a mix of conventional tillage, minimum tillage and No-till as well as using cover crops and plowing under green manure such as rye, red clover, hairy vetch etc. as well as using hi-calcium limestone to build soil health. We also scout our fields on a regular basis to observe insect and disease pressure. By following these practices, we are able to offer you fresh, safe, nutritious food for you and your family!
