About Riverton Farms LLC
Veteran Owned and operated Riverton Farms LLC offers grass fed and finished lamb and beef, raised naturally on Appalachian mountain pastures using rotational grazing. Rotational grazing helps us protect the Chesapeake Bay, improve soil quality and give the animal fresh forage daily in the growing season. Hereford beef (top beef breed) are raised from birth until ready for processing between 26-29 months. Choose your cuts or get a standard selection of a whole half or quarter or bundle package of our USDA inspected meat. Heritage lamb from our Livestock Conservancy recognized flock of Shropshire and Clun Forest Sheep as well as Cheviot crosses. Waitlist spaces available with deposit or see what we have on hand. Wool and sheepskins offered from the sheep. Wool is white medium down and great for knitting/ crochet sweaters, socks, hats, gloves, and as stuffing for bedding/pillows. We welcome people to come see how we raise food for our own family that we can share with you.
