About Drinking Horse Ranch
Drinking Horse Ranch (DHR) is a 250 acre guest ranch with 3 different lodges to chose from for your guest ranch experience. The DHR is owned and operated by a born and raised Montana female veteran and her husband in Bozeman, MT. We have recently started a registered American Quarter Horse breeding program and have Missouri Fox Trotter saddle horses available for unique horse experiences and horsemanship lessons. Much of our property is forested so several forestry projects over the years have produced timber which we have used to make many products, including benches that are placed on our trails. We also make raised garden beds with the timber. These garden beds are a part of the DHR's agritourism project called “Freedom Gardens for Heroes and Carrots for Horses”. Between our raised garden beds, resident egg laying chickens and available timber, we produce a variety of products that we sell at Farmer Markets and Road Side Stands. We provide amazing hospitality and homesteading activities at our ranch.
