About Lindy’s Pecans
I am a native Mississippian. I grew up in the Mississippi Delta. As an adult, I joined the US Army and served 3 years and then relocated to Chicago IL., and became a firefighter with the Chicago Fire Department. Growing up as a sharecropper, farming has always been an interest of mine and familiar to me. The orchard was established, planned, and planted (improved varieties) in 1984. I purchased it in 1999. The orchard was overgrown with invasive grasses, cedars and pine trees, and a well that had been highly neglected. After a period of time, I got soil samples, leaf samples to determined what the trees needed. With fertilizing, watering, and a lot of TLC the orchard is flourishing. My first crop was 3 pecans. My second crop was about 500 pecans and now producing thousands of pecans. My goal is to produce good quality crop moving forward. What Makes Our Products Great? All of the TLC and a lot of boots in the orchard taking care of it's needs and water, water, water. What makes us most proud of producing Genuine MS products? IT'S HOMEGROWN!
