About Pleasant River Farms
Pleasant River Farms (PRF) is a small family farm owned by Dean and Deborah Richmond that specializes in organic, grass-fed beef. They are currently the only Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Association (MOFGA) certified organic beef producer in Oxford County. The farm started with a small beef cattle herd ten years ago and now has 40+ head of cattle that graze in the valley meadows between the White Mountain National Forest and the Pleasant River in Mason Township, Maine. We sell beef locally by the share and at area stores and farmers markets in individual retail packages. We get great reviews by our customers about the quality of our beef. We sell out every pound of beef we make and have a waiting list of customers. We keep our prices affordable so that our neighbors can afford to eat quality beef. We believe that farm to table is the best model for both us and our customers.
