About Pop's Blueberry Farm
My husband and I bought an established U-pick blueberry farm in 2019, known in the area as Pop's Blueberry Patch. Robert Alexander started planting blueberry bushes in the late 1980's on land that has been in his family for generations. He started small and added more plants as he could. He grew a patch of about 100 blueberry plants to what you see now: 7+ acres with over 3500 plants. We bought Pop's, promising Robert that we would keep the name and the operation as he intended - a family-friendly, kid-welcoming U-pick and We-pick blueberry farm. The blueberry season in North Louisiana runs from around the end of May until mid-July. There are four different varieties of rabbit-eye blueberries at Pop's that mature from late May through early July. We sell berries at the farm and also at area farmers' markets. Everything you need to pick blueberries is provided: buckets with liners to take berries home and harnesses to hold your bucket while picking. We look forward to seeing you at Pop's Blueberry Farm!
