About Canoe Creek Produce
Canoe Creek Produce is operated by Barbara Kraus, assisted by her family: John, Peter, Tessa, and Kevin. The farm lies 7 miles northeast of Decorah in Pleasant Township, in a valley carved out by Canoe Creek. Canoe Creek Produce began with eggs, as many things do, about 15 years ago and has grown to include a variety of vegetables, fruits, and meats. Today, Barbara manages a flock of 300 chickens, a herd of Katahdin sheep, and several acres of gardens and orchards. We enjoy working together as a family to raise specialty crops using sustainable practices for local markets. Our produce is available at the Winneshiek Farmers Market, the Oneota Food Co-op, and several restaurants in the Decorah area. Please contact us if you would like to make an order or visit the farm! Canoe Creek Flowers are food for your spirit. From May to October, we offer a wide variety of organically grown flowers and foliage full of vivid colors, unique textures, motion, fragrances, and a look that says these are fresh and real!
