About ES Meats
Located in the heart of Austin Township in Central Illinois, our farm has been in our family for six generations. We are proud to continue the tradition of farming in our family and the legacy it will be for future generations. In 2011, we expanded our operation and started ES Cattle Co. and ES Meats. These businesses have added diversity to our farm and allow us to better utilize the land. At ES Cattle Co., we raise our black Angus cattle using rotational grazing techniques. This ensures that the cattle have access to fresh pasture and helps to maintain the health of the soil. During the winter months, we plant cover crops that the cattle can graze on, allowing us to provide year-round grazing. We also put the cattle out on corn stalks in the fall and winter, which not only helps with weed control but also fertilizes the fields with organic matter. We believe in the importance of soil fertility, which is why we take great care in maintaining the health of our soils to ensure that our land remains productive for future generations. ES Meats is more than just a way to diversify our farm's operations – it's also a way to bring our farm-raised beef, pork, and chicken directly to our community. We take great pride in being able to provide high-quality, hormone and antibiotic-free meats to our customers. We are passionate about sustainable farming practices and believe that it is our responsibility to care for the land and the environment. By using rotational grazing and cover crops, we are able to reduce our reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, while also improving soil health. We are committed to preserving the natural resources on our farm and participate in conservation programs to protect wildlife and promote biodiversity.
