About Holiday Ranch
We are a sustainable cattle seed stock producer located in the Florida panhandle with a larger location in central Missouri operated by our partner, Dr. Bruce Shanks. We provide low input registered South Poll cattle bred specifically to excel on grass and to produce a tender carcass. (Please visit our website to learn the special traits that make the South Poll so desirable.) In addition to providing bulls and heifers for your grass-fed or commercial operation, we occasionally offer grass-fed beef available in whole or half beeves. In addition to grass genetic cattle, we also raise Gulf Coast Native sheep, an endangered heritage breed known for their parasite resistance. We produce grass-fed lamb seasonally. Occasionally, we offer for sale Gulf Coast Native weaned rams and ewes. We now have, on an experimental basis, Gloucestershire Old Spot heritage hogs which are being produced on pasture. In the future we hope to be able to offer this highly sought after gourmet pork in addition to a few select animals for breeding purposes. Although we are not "certified organic", we do employ most organic practices on our ranch.
