After several years of growing our various enterprises, our chicken business required a boost, I teamed up with Ben Gillespie - a fourth generation farmer. We built a mobile processing unit and traveled the valley, processing birds high and low, hiring friends and family, and learning how to butcher safely and humanely. Eventually our production outpaced our processing capability, and we needed to step up our game. We officially formed Diamond G Poultry, a wholesale poultry brand, in order to build and operate a brick and mortar facility for us to butcher our own birds. Then, we spent a year developing a brand I could be proud of. Welcome to the stage : Mountain Bird. From the start, I knew our birds were special and have always wanted a brand to express their superior quality and resilience. We’ve been honing our production model for near a decade, and are proud to showcase our efforts with a quality brand.
