About Valley Roots Food Hub
The Valley Roots Food Hub is a local food aggregation and distribution business based out of the alpine valley communities of the San Luis Valley and Chaffee County. We have been incubated from grassroots community efforts of the San Luis Valley Local Foods Coalition and Saguache Works. We are the aggregating, marketing, and customer service link between local producers and local buyers. The Valley Roots Food Hub works to build, operate, and sustain a local food system that increases the demand for and accessibility of fresh, healthy food. We believe highly regenerative agricultural and socio-economic practices can fulfill human needs while leaving behind a legacy of biologically productive soils, sufficient water, and healthy communities of plants, animals, and people.
