About Harvest Mountain
Advancing local, four season systems. Building more equitable food capacity and local distribution. TOGETHER. Homestead Growing of Produce - For five years have grown at our home over 100 vegetable plants as 50 tomato plants and 50 peppers and tomatillos, squash, herbs etc. Provide produce to school families and motel communities. Practice four seasons growing with our hoop house, cold frames, row covers, hoops. Four Season Growing in Jefferson County Colorado has so much opportunity. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall allow for a variety of ways to continue to grow food in our climate zone. Summer growing is practiced most by gardeners and community gardens. Urban farms can just grow in 8 week or 12 week seasons or utilize season extension practices for Spring crops like kale and lettuce and collards etc.
