Mountain Valley Cattle, Hogs & Goats Here at Mountain Valley Cattle Farm we raise pure bread miniature Herefords and Red Wattle heritage hogs. Rising miniature Herefords is the best kept secret in the cattle rising market. Gentle, much lower feed consumption allowing more head per acre, easy handling, and producing top quality premium beef, and can bring the same price as full size cattle. We strive to provide the up-most satisfaction to our customers. Our registered miniature Herefords is our pride and joy. And we want to share this wonderful breed with all who want to take part in expanding the practical small farm beef cattle to this part of the country. Pet, show or freezer you are getting the best we have to offer in registered miniature Herefords. Our Red Wattle heritage hogs was chosen for our farm because these hogs are known for gentle, hardiness, foraging activity, and very good growth rate. The sows are excellent mothers, farrow litters of 7-12 piglets, and provide good quantities of milk for their large litters. They have a mild temperament. Their active foraging makes them a good choice for consideration in outdoor or pasture-based swine production. Their gentle nature recommends them to the small-scale, independent producer. Our Red Wattle hogs are pasture and grain fed with no hormones or added antibiotics. Very lean and by some chiefs considered the best pork of the heritage breeds in taste test. We also have full blood red wattle breeder pigs for sale.
